Pizza Franchise Costs and Investment
Starting your own business is a big decision, and you want to be confident that you’re spending your money wisely. A good franchise investment helps you meet your financial goals, but what makes a good investment? To put it simply, a good investment is one that is profitable, and Antioch Pizza provides you with the opportunity for a good investment. Read on to learn more about the pizza franchise costs you can expect.
Your Pizza Franchise Investment
To start, here are a few pizza franchise costs for which you should budget.
Your initial franchise fee varies by format:
- Dine-in and/or takeout/delivery restaurant: $40,000
- Express restaurant: $35,000
- Food truck: $20,000
You’ll pay that in a lump sum when you sign your franchise agreement.
The total initial investment necessary to begin operations depends on which of our four franchise formats you choose.
The initial investment is as follows:
- Dine-in and/or takeout/delivery restaurant: $218,000 to $696,500
- Express restaurant: $101,500 to $324,000
- Food truck: $103,500 to $189,500
This varies depending on a number of factors, including the size of your restaurant, the improvements it will need, and whether or not your landlord will provide an allowance for improvements. You can also expect it to include materials, equipment, marketing costs, and other expenses related to opening a business.
Throughout the life of your business, you’ll pay several fees each month, including a 5% royalty, 1% marketing services fee, and a minimum 1% fee for local marketing expenditures. You’ll also want to budget for additional fees as incurred, such as additional training and franchise conference registration.

Recession Resilience in the Pizza Industry
Not all businesses are built to survive tough economic times, especially in the foodservice industry. Although it’s well-known that many restaurants don’t survive their first year in business, opportunities in the QSR industry – including pizzerias – are built to succeed where others fail. Thanks to their dependability, quality, and convenience, pizza thrived during the pandemic and is estimated to grow by $51.38 billion over the next few years. There couldn’t be a better time to enter this booming industry with a proven franchise like Antioch Pizza.
